Pipeline protesters show their respect for the environment

Protesters trying to block the Dakota Access pipeline from being placed under a river because it might, maybe, somehow, someday pollute the water already were leaving behind tons of trash, debris and human waste in the river watershed prior to the spring thaw, but, just to add insanity to pollution, they set 20 fires in their camp today, their deadline for evacuation.

Twenty protesters were arrested and two children were treated for burns due to the fires.

The Army Corps of Engineers is cleaning up the site.

    Typical left wing loons!

  2. Reziac says:

Paid protestors, backed by a Soros-funded group. Naturally they don’t care about the site, or for that matter the pipeline; they just care about getting paid to be layabouts. Guess that’s what happens when you get a degree in “Studies” and have no employable skills.

  3. Athos says:

There is no level of hypocrisy that the left can’t surpass.
How they fail to recognize this is beyond me!
Patrick ? Rinny? A little help here?

The only concern ever expressed on these pages by the far right, is to call out unknown people who have unknown allegiances.

    Yay?

I look forward to another article criticizing far right wing lunatics who loudly applauded right wing lunatic presidential administrations that did away with restrictions of billion dollar corporations dumping toxic waste in rivers and lakes.

Wonder how long I’ll be waiting?

How many terrorist incidents from the far right, since Don’s electoral victory does this make?

And I wonder whether this one makes Don’s next list of terrorist incidents that don’t get the publicity they “deserve”?

I mean, in the last two days, we got some rednecks kicking over gravestones in a Jewsish cemetery that you hardl hear about, now another right wing lunatic shooting at more innocent people cause they “look” like terrorists.

How do you know what Purington’s politics are?
I suspect you are, par for the course, assuming he is “right wing”

I find no reference to his registered status but he was a “military veteran” according to Heavy.com

And the gravestones were widely covered on all the big networks, even YOUR PRESIDENT publicly denounced the desecration.

  8. Rincon says:

While I agree that the setting of fires, etc. is essentially a temper tantrum and generally nonproductive, it says nothing about the validity of their cause. I seem to recall a fair amount of violence surrounding the civil rights and Vietnam War protests of the 1960’s, but I don’t think their causes were wrong.

    And so it begins.

First comes the lies about how it won’t happen because of how safe it is, or how well it’s been constructed, and how reactionary “the left” is for even mentioning the facts that it ALWAYS happens, and how many really good jobs this pipeline will kill…er ah…”create”.

Then comes the reality, and the spills, and the death.

Now come the lies about how “small” this spill really was (it began more than a month ago, and they only “noticed” a few days ago) but don’t you fear none “the public was never in any danger at any time” and the Koch Brothers got this.
