Harry Reid once said of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas:
“I think that he has been an embarrassment to the Supreme Court. … “I think that his opinions are poorly written. I just don’t think that he’s done a good job as a Supreme Court justice.”
Who is embarrassed now?
“The one thing we are going to do during this work period, sooner rather than later, is to ensure that women’s lives are not determined by virtue of five white men. This Hobby Lobby decision is outrageous, and we’re going to do something about it. People are going to have to walk down here and vote. And if they vote with the five men on the Supreme Court, I think they’ll have to be treated unfavorably come November for the elections.”
The Hobby Lobby opinion was written by Samuel Alito and was joined by Justices Antonin Scalia, John Roberts, Anthony Kennedy and Clarence Thomas.
