Where should libraries shelve Hillary’s new book? Under fiction or nonfiction?

What could Hillary Clinton possibly say that would be worth $225,000 to hear?

But that’s what she is being paid to speak at a fundraiser for the UNLV Foundation in October.

Perhaps she will regale her audience with hair-raising accounts like the time while as first lady she landed in Bosnia under sniper fire like she did at George Washington University in 2008 on the campaign trail:

“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

Oh yeah, that was fiction.

Speaking of fiction, one can get many more words per dollar out of Hillary’s new book, “Hard Choices,” which you find for $11 used online. Not sure how much of that goes to her ghostwriter Ted Widmer or how much of her $14 million advance for the book he got.

At $225,000 a speech, maybe she is trying to catch up to Bill, who has been paid $105 million for more than 500 speeches since leaving the White House “dead broke” and “struggled” to pay mortgages on their two multimillion-dollar houses, as Hillary recalls.

At least some UNLV students are saying she should donate all or part of her speaking fee to the university. Still waiting to hear back from her.

For a partial list of Hillary’s fabrications read a Dick Morris column from the 2008 campaign. I’m sure there have been more since, such as Benghazi. These are the admitted lies:

• Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)
• Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.)
• She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.)
• She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn’t cover the market back then.)

Here are a few she has yet to own up to:

• She didn’t know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted.
• Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.
• She didn’t know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so.
• She was instrumental in the Irish peace process.
• She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.
• She played a role in the ’90s economic recovery.
• The billing records showed up on their own.
• She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.
• She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there).

As for the truth about Hillary’s health, you might have to read Ed Klein’s book “Blood Feud.”

Perhaps Hillary’s next book should be on how to invest in cattle futures so we can all get in on the action.

We don’t have to read her stinking book, thinking persons know who and what she is but there’s a blind devotion that her admirers do not see, the lies, treachery, and vindictiveness, i.e., her true nature, while members of the main stream media are fully aware of it they choose to put a bloom on this faded pothouse plant. The talking heads believe they are steering history, making America evermore politically correct by pushing a female, albeit a self-serving power hungry harridan. I’m waiting for words of wisdom from Harry Reid, he said Obama “didn’t have a Negro accent unless he wanted to” with Hillary he can say she can slide into a Negro dialect for a black audience, e.g., she was “no ways tired”, as if she had been picking cotton all day. If a Republican had said that, the repercussions would still be coming.

  2. Steve says:

    How about “campaign flyers”?

    Seems appropriate to me.

  3. nyp says:

In fact, Mr. Mitchell, Hillary Clinton never said that her daughter was jogging around the World Trade Center during the 9/11 terrorist attack.

That is a complete and utter fabrication.

How appropriate that you would spread such a fabrication in the course of a post claiming that Hillary Clinton is a liar.

  4. Steve says:

HILLARY: She’d gone, what she thought would be just a great jog. She was going to go down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and — and that’s when the plane hit.

JANE: She was close enough to hear the rumble

    HILLARY: She did hear it.

JANE: And to see the smoke in person, not on television.

HILLARY: No. Of course, Bill was in Australia. And, you know, he was so upset by what he was seeing on television that I didn’t want to tell him that I couldn’t find her until I found her. I told him that, you know, everything’s fine, don’t worry. But I couldn’t do it with the level of assurance that I needed until I could find her a couple of hours later.

    “Not on Television”

    “NO. Of course”

Chelsea was in the apartment when the first plane hit. She tried to make a call to Hillary and the line went dead. That was when she went out in search of a pay phone and the second plane hit…12 blocks away.

The impression left by Hillary on Dateline was that Chelsea was in immediate danger but Hillary wasn’t going to tell Bill anything until she was certain about Chelsea’s whereabouts.

Its good Hillary did not make Bill’s concern worse by holding off but this is another case of bad wording. For a politician and lawyer words are king…she shouldn’t be having this much trouble getting her message across.

Bill looked very closed on Meet the depressed today trying to explain and gloss it all over about being dead broke…Oh his VOICE and facial expressions were all smooth as ever but his body language was speaking volumes being all closed off and protected.

  5. nyp says:

So you agree that Mr. Mitchell’s accusation that Hillary Clinton had claimed that her daughter was jogging around the World Trade Center when the terrorists attacked on 9/11 was nothing but a fabrication.

  6. Steve says:

HILLARY: She’d gone, what she thought would be just a great jog. She was going to go down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and — and that’s when the plane hit.

At the time Hillary had no way of knowing that.

If Mitch is quoting a fabrication, Hillary was the one who created the scene.

Hillary did lie on Dateline…and Jane Pauly added to it.

The context does not suuport the quote and it does not support Hillary.

    Mitch’s message stands.

  7. Bruce Feher says:

I have a suggestion as to where they can put the “book” but I assume some children may read the blog…..

  8. I found the same transcription in a half dozen places. Just not as quickly as Steve.

“HILLARY: She’d gone, what she thought would be just a great jog. She was going to go down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and — and that’s when the plane hit.”

    OK, she wasn’t in bed.

Larry Elder column from Nov. 15, 2001:

“Chelsea Clinton wrote a first-person article for the December 2001 issue of Talk magazine, about that horrible morning. Here, Chelsea said, ‘On the morning it happened I was at my friend Nicole Davison’s apartment, near Union Square in Manhattan. That morning we had gotten up and grabbed coffee, and then she took the subway to work while I bought a paper and headed back to her apartment. I had just walked in when she called from work. A plane had just crashed into the World Trade Center, she said. I should stay put and she’d call me back when she knew more. I turned on the television and watched as the second plane hit.'”

  9. nyp says:

She said that her daugher was planning on going jogging down to Battery Park that day, that her daughter went to get a cup of coffee downstairs, and that was when the first plane hit a few blocks south of where her daughter was staying.

So Mr. Mitchell’s accusation that Hillary Clinton fasely claimed that her daughter “was jogging around the Trade Center” when the terrorists attacked on 9/11 was false.

We will see if Mr. Mitchell has retained enough of his journalist chops to issue a correction.

  10. Nyp says:

Mr. Mitchell — are you really sticking to your story that Hillary Clinton claimed that her daughter was jogging around the World Trade Center when the planes hit?

Are you really going to do that?

  11. Steve says:

So Nyp agrees that all the other true examples of Hillary lies….and this one example was simply a misquote.

    Progress!

  12. Steve says:

HILLARY: “She’d gone, what she thought would be just a great jog. She was going to go down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and — and that’s when the plane hit.”

Hillary was very clear, Chelsea had gone…left the apartment.

  13. Nyp says:

Mr. Mitchell – as a journalist, do you stand by your accusation that Hillary Clinton falsely claimed that her daughter was jogging around the World Trade Center when the terrorists struck on 9/11?

  14. Steve says:

    Don’t like the message?

    ATTACK the messenger.

  15. The stories of Hillary and Chelsea don’t match.

  16. Nyp says:

As a journalist, do you stand by your accusation that Hillary Clinton falsely claimed that her daughter was jogging around the World Trade Center when the terrorists struck on 9/11?

  17. Steve says:

Nyp that quote says nothing about the time that Chelsea was jogging around the towers..only that she was “jogging around the trade center on Sept 11 2001”

ARE YOU, Nyp, ready to take back your unfounded attack?

  18. Nyp says:

Mr Mitchell. – it is really quite simple. In the course of attacking Hillary Clinton as a liar, you made a completely false accusation about something she supposedly said. You can’t substantiate the accusation. That’s because it is false.

As a journalist, do you stand by your accusation that Hillary Clinton falsely claimed that her daughter was jogging around the World Trade Center when the terrorists struck on 9/11? Or do you retract it?

  19. Steve says:

Thomas Mitchell made NO SUCH accusation Nyp.

On the other hand YOU are doing the very thing of which you are accusing Thomas Mitchell.

ARE YOU GOING TO RETRACT YOUR FALSE ACCUSATION NOW NYP?

  20. Nyp says:

    “These are the admitted lies:
    • Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)”

Mr. Mitchell — do you stand by that accusation?

  21. Steve says:

This is what Hillary actually said:
HILLARY: “She’d gone, what she thought would be just a great jog. She was going to go down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and — and that’s when the plane hit.”

“She’d gone” Left the apartment according to Hillary.
Among other places planned for the jog “she was going to go around the towers” According to Hillary
“She went to get a cup of coffee and — and that’s when the plane hit.” According to Hillary

Chelsea states she watched BOTH planes crash into the buildings on TV at the APARTMENT.

This means Hillary lied on national TV OR Chelsea lied in Talk Magazine.

I see you have modified your accusation,,,Tomas Mitchell’s message stands as written..I believe Cheslea in Talk Magazine, Hillary lied on national TV.

AS for the REST of the list it is obvious the only thing Nyp can find to take issue with is exactly where Chelsea was at the time the plane hit the building!
We can only conclude every other statement is accurate and true while this one issue remains 95% true…based on Nyp’s own reaction.

    Progress!

  22. Read the transcript.

In the original post I attributed the phrasing to Dick Morris.

  23. Nyp says:

    Is it true or not?

  24. Steve says:

    Is WHAT true, or not?
Which bit of the statement is Nyp crying about now?

  25. nyp says:

This has been a very illuminating exchange, Mr. Mitchell. Very illuminating, indeed.

We have learned much more about your own credibility, about your own relationship to standards of accuracy and truthfulness, then we have learned about Hillary Clinton.

  26. Steve says:

    Nyp…..Nyp…..Nyp.

Where oh where do you see anything on this blog that claims it to be news rather than opinion?

  27. nyp says:

    Really, Mr. Mitchell.

Tell me what I have written in this exchange that evinces a disregard for factual accuracy.

  28. Steve says:

Ya gotta know and it would figure. Nyp’s complaint about that statement is left with only one item to take up issue.

What would that item be, pray tell?

Its not an item to which Hillary “admitted” lying or even “misspeaking” on.

No siree, on that point Nyp has under his cap…it IS true no Clinton has admitted to it…they were caught in the lie, hoist by their own petards by not rehearsing their stories before speaking and writing in two forms of media.

Heavens and horrors…Nyp is right about that insignificant fact.

I am more impressed that Nyp cannot find any fault with any of the other lies made by Hillary Clinton.

Thanks to Nyp I am more sure than ever Hillary should NOT be the next president of the United States.

  29. Steve says:

    OH OH OH pick me!

Here”s one, from just a bit ago I give you Nyp’s words from today @ 14:09

“So Mr. Mitchell’s accusation that Hillary Clinton fasely claimed that her daughter “was jogging around the Trade Center” when the terrorists attacked on 9/11 was false.”

Mitch NEVER made that statement in any way shape or form. Nyp made it up!

  30. Anonymous says:

I’d say “anybody but Hillary,” but that didn’t work too well in the last Presidential primary.

  31. nyp says:

    “These are the admitted lies:
    • Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)”

You know, all journalists write things that turn out to be wrong.

The ones who are credits to their profession correct their errors and post prompt, non-evasive retractions.

  32. Steve says:

So when does Nyp plan to officially retract the “misstatement” first posted today @ 14:09?

  33. Steve says:

So when does Nyp plan to come clean about accusing others of the things which Nyp is actually in the process of doing?

Either its ok for all or its not.

  34. Winston Smith says:

Petey, if this is the best a Hillary zealot can do to defend her reputation, I look forward to 2016 with great anticipation, no matter which boring idiot the neo-cons have selected to take her on.

  35. K. Martin says:

“What difference, at this point, does it make?”

  36. Athos says:

No social, polite arguments for you, is there, petey?

Go for the jugular! Go for the jugular! Those nasty men are attacking our darling Hillary!

    “FIND THEM AND DESTROY THEM!!!”

  37. Rincon says:

Hillary manages to lie more than the average politician. I just hope she doesn’t run for President against some Tea Party sympathizer. Which is better, lies or insanity? One more example of the damage Tea Party policies cause is coming to fruition: Two years ago, Kansas passed a tax cut that was – “…in percentage terms, the largest tax cut in one year any state has ever enacted — in close consultation with the economist Arthur Laffer. And Mr. Brownback predicted that the cuts would jump-start an economic boom — “Look out, Texas,” he proclaimed. But Kansas isn’t booming — in fact, its economy is lagging both neighboring states and America as a whole. Meanwhile, the state’s budget has plunged deep into deficit, provoking a Moody’s downgrade of its debt”. http://www.rimaregas.com/2014/06/paul-krugman-charlatans-cranks-and-kansas-nytimes/

  38. Steve says:

    ” But Kansas isn’t booming”

That is a great example……of what happens when you cut revenue without cutting government.

What happens if spending is increased while not increasing revenue is the opposite but the result is exactly the same.

At some point we are going to be forced to decide what we want and what we will do without.

17 trillion in debt is as unsustainable as the Kansas move.

  39. Athos says:

I agree, Steve. And see how the Tea party is constantly mislabeled (thanks for the latest mischaracturization, Rinny)

We want smaller federal government, adhering to the limits set forth in the Constitution. Reagan tried to starve the beast, but with a printing press and the morally bankrupt politicians we have, it just won’t work, will it Jayhawks?

  40. Rincon says:

The question is whether cutting taxes increases revenue. So far as I can tell, Kansas did not raise their spending: “Between fiscal year 2009 and fiscal year 2013, Kansas’s total expenditures increased by approximately $0.45 billion, from $13.96 billion in 2009 to $14.41 billion in 2013. This represents a 3.22 percent increase, below the cumulative rate of inflation during the same period (9.06 percent, calculated using the Consumer Price Indices for January 2009 and January 2013).[3][4] ” http://ballotpedia.org/Kansas_state_budget

Summary: Cut spending first, then taxes; not the other way around.

  41. Steve says:

Nope, cut them equally and at the same time. Just do it slowly so the private sector can absorb the added labor.

  42. Rincon says:

I like it, so long as the b*stards aren’t allowed to renege.
