What to do with the fruits of the soil?

Las Vegas is one of the few places in this country where you have to buy soil, but from that purchased soil you can get a decent crop.

Does anyone have a couple dozen good recipes for tomatoes — especially ones you can freeze?

My mother always canned stewed tomatoes, which were delicious. Homemade chili sauce is also a treat. She froze spaghetti sauce. How about I come over and relieve you of some of your burden? 😀

I have never tried freezing salsa. Tomatoes, I think, are more suited to canning. Plus they are acidic, so low-risk for spoilage. Easy to can. I have the official Ball canning book if you want to borrow it.

    Beautiful crop, Mitch!

I also have a Sun Oven, with dehydrating racks.

  4. All that boiling and hot jars makes canning a chore. That’s why I prefer freezing.

    The links are for freezing.

Very nice production; expect a fall-off soon due to the soaring temps! What varieties are working for you?

  7. There is a variety called Heatwave. I have five of those and a ringer was mixed in on the shelf or I’d have six. Others are cherry and yellow pairs.
