Driven by ideology or just idiocy?

Yes, those two crazed Las Vegas cop killers were at the Bundy ranch with a lot of right-leaning, gun toting people.

But it turns out they also were part of left-leaning march back in Lafayette, Ind., according to a CBS affiliate in Chicago.

While living in Lafayette, Jerad Miller and his wife Amanda took part in last November’s “Million Mask March,” a gathering of protesters from the Occupy movement, anarchists, and hacktivists, the television station reported.

“Everyone there just seem kind of like normal people. At least they were going to stick up with what they thought was right,” the station quoted organizer Nick Wetz as saying.

Perhaps the Millers just liked to dress up and join a crowd.

A posting on PoliceOne.com notes that Amanda Miller had posted on her Facebook account photos of herself and her husband participating in the Anonymous Million Mask march in Lafayette.

“Rather than right-wing extremists, the pair came across more as anti-authoritarian, anarchistic libertarians who had a grudge against the authorities over both left-wing (drug legalization) and right-wing (Second Amendment) issues,” the writer says. “In the items posted to YouTube and Facebook, Jerad Miller criticized the entire spectrum of the political establishment in the United States, to include both liberals and conservatives. He criticized Christians as well as ‘eco fascists.’”

Jerad Miller apparently was most upset about his multiple arrests by police for dealing pot.

All of the local media have played up the right-wing connection but have yet to mention the leftist gathering. They were thrown off the Bundy ranch, by the way.

Sometimes a nut is just a nut.

    Left v. Right?
    Liberal v. Conservative?
False paradigms propagated by simplistic media?

  2. nyp says:

Yup – the crazy left-wing and right-wing strands of libertarianism come together and fuse in Second Amendment Moments.

It’s more likely they just got a thrill out of being part of “sticking it to The Man”. If you read writings by various ‘activists’ it’s pretty evident that’s the real goal: the “high” they get from the protesting activity. (Same with terrorists)

BTW, a significant majority of ‘protesters’ are paid to be there. This is why so many, when asked, can’t even TELL you what they’re protesting… and why you’ll often see the same faces at multiple events across the country.

Really. Who is doing the paying?

  5. Steve says:

Same people who pay the Walmart Neighborhood Market picketers.

  6. Nyp says:

I’m enjoying this comspiracy theory — who are those people? What are their names?

  7. Steve says:

So $50 gift cards is not paying the picketers?

Walmart gift cards! you guys are so full of it.
