Sen. Harry Reid is still defending ObamaCare even though he exempted some of his staffers from having to buy insurance on the exchanges and the fact millions are losing the coverage they liked and were promised they could keep and deadlines keep getting pushed back unilaterally by Obama and the fact the website is still a debacle.
As for Obama’s promise that people would save $2,500 a year, Reid told the Reno Gazette-Journal:
“And I will also note that there are 150,000 million different families that get their health care through their employees,” Reid said. “So should all federal employees, although under Obamacare, my insurance costs me about $4,500 more that it did before. Yes, because it is age-related and it wasn’t like that before.”
It astounds me Harry’s head hasn’t spun right off his neck.
Harry Reid is likely very well-to-do plus a senator’s income is quite handsome so the $4,500 increase for insurance won’t be the nightmare it will be for the individual/family of lesser means. He’s Medicare eligible, why doesn’t he settle for that?
I am pretty sure Harry’s docs are not accepting Medicare patients. Something the rest of us will have to get used to going forward. Who are the low information voters that keep sending this clown back to Washington?
I keep saying that none of these bastards actually mention exactly what care will consist of, maybe Harry is concerned with that, being a senior citizen and all.
Senator Reid “did a very good job investing,” so he shouldn’t have any trouble getting the $4,500.
If he does another shady land deal, he’ll raise enough money to pay his additional insurance premium for the rest of his life.
