While taking some softball questions following a conference call this morning announcing his 6th annual National Clean Energy Summit in August, Nevada’s senior senator took the opportunity to once again make venomous remarks about Republicans in general and tea partiers in particular.
Asked when a particular energy bill might come up for a vote on the floor of the Senate, where he largely controls the agenda, Harry Reid replied, “Why I of course have tried to get it on the floor, tried to do it, we’ve got immigration, but everything we do around here because of the tea party-driven House and, frankly, Senate makes it very difficult.”
Asked by a Las Vegas Sun reporter about potential federal legislation pushing more renewable energy projects, “Right now as you know very well it’s extremely difficult to get Republicans to focus on major issues. They spend all their time on issues that are so hard to comprehend. Today, for example, having went to all the trouble to make hundreds of thousands of people happy in this country, to allow people who are here with bad papers to make themselves right with the law, the House voted to defund that. It’s just hard to comprehend that they are serious about anything other than just being anarchists, and that’s what they are.”
Of course his energy summit does nothing for Southern Nevada. The summit is totally handled by a special interest group in DC. UNLV research is out of the picture and so is anyone in Southern Nevada who has any connection with energy(even solar). All it turns out to be is a gab-fest of Harry’s friends who want to come to Las Vegas and party (like Bill C.).
Besides, solar panels don’t work as well when the temperature exceeds 110 degrees, as in August.

Normal politics. He’s right about one thing though. Using a record number of filibusters, the Republicans have successfully paralyzed the Senate. The Democrats did the same thing previously, but on a smaller scale.
Harry’s BIGGEST problem is how to stay out of jail. The current administration is the BIGGEST criminal enterprise this country has ever seen.
It talks time for the people to pay attention BUT they’re paying attention now Harry. I hope you enjoy making little rocks out of BIG rocks, Harry!
It takes time…..Tom you need an edit feature on this blog
“…having went to all the trouble to make hundreds of thousands of people happy in this country, to allow people who are here with bad papers to make themselves right with the law…” HUH? So we are supposed to ignore the law to make “bad papers” okay? Talk about anarchy. As long as we make hundreds of thousands of people happy, in a nation of more than 300 million souls, why should any pesky laws stand in the way?
When asked about renewable energy policy, Harry Reid shifts gears to immigration, and anarchist Republicans who concentrate on issues that are “hard to comprehend.” Harry believes the American people are such drones that they could not possibly understand issues concerning their privacy, or intimidation by the 4th branch of government: the IRS. The masses must not be distracted by silly things like that, they must be forced to concentrate on green jobs and clean energy.
People like Harry Reid, who claim to be so concerned about the environment, have yet to explain what will be done with solar panels when they reach the end of their (questionable) useful lifetime.

And there is far more involved with solar panels than slapping them onto every available space. Regular maintenance is required and they do not necessarily put out what is claimed

But Harry’s biggest problem, in my opinion, is that he suffers from dementia. That, and a lack of conscience.
Only a human, so far, could catch that, Bruce.

I don’t usually pick on Democrats without jabbing Republicans, too, since I consider both parties to be minions of the fascist/globalist banksters, but I found this especially amusing:
I always thought Bob Hope was funny. This is one of his better lines.
