What the whole thing boils down to is, we should let the federal government spend like crazy and put all the construction workers back to work while pumping a bunch of money into state and local governments to prevent additional layoffs and hire back a bunch of those that have been laid off already.
More succinct and reading between the lines. Obama is saying he needs to payback the unions and wants to curry their favor in an attempt to gain their support and votes again. Specially as lots of them think he has not been liberal enough and are not as enthused about him as they were in 07.
Harry’s good for four more years, right now he’s BFF (best friends forever) with Barry but when Barry gets his behind handed to him in this fall’s election and the Senate goes or tends toward the right Harry will attach himself to whatever individual or cause that will serve his personal interest. He will visit us out here in the hustings and say, “Barack who?” While Harry yields to Barry now I bet Barry doesn’t take his calls, and I’d be very surprised if any senator that has to run this fall want’s Harry to campaign for him, or her.
So far, we voters are not buying it.
Priceless twit from the king…. I think he’s on to something.

Just a thought: After “private sector is doing fine,” maybe we let Joe Biden handle all news conferences from now on?
I read Politifacts in context on Obama’s speech.

[...] Harry and Barry in total agreement, but someone should check the date on the teleprompter scrip… [...]
